Meet Nanci.

Counseling is something Nanci has always wanted to do. She is interested in working with older adolescents (16+) and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem/self-confidence issues, trauma, grief, and life transitions. She is also interested in providing Gottman Method Couples Therapy to couples who are struggling in their relationship and want to get back to a healthy, communicative, and loving relationship.

Five Fun Facts About Nanci

  1. I love to watch TV and I love to read.
Seriously, it's my favorite. I watch King of Queens every night when I go to bed. I have seen every episode multiple times and it still cracks me up. My current favorite genres of books include historical fiction, mysteries, and thrillers.  I also get a kick out of auto-biographies and self-help books.

  2. I love animals.
I have owned dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, parrots, parakeets, many different types of fish, ducks, geese, goats, snakes, rats, chickens, and a crow and a pig. Currently I have a fussy calico cat, Elsa, a pair of busy kitties who are brothers (Ralph and Al), a smart, sneaky and ridiculously cute beagle/terrier mix, Piper, a huge and super lovey American Bully named Samson, and perhaps the love of my life, the sweetest mini Golden Doodle, Dudley. They wear me out, but I can't imagine coming home to a house without a pet or two, or three. I am also working to get my fish aquarium up and running again.

  3. I was born on Thanksgiving Day.
I have always gotten pie for my birthday instead of cake, which is fine with me! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, and I love watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. One year, for my birthday, my family surprised me with a trip to New York City to watch the parade. It was awesome and now I also love New York City!

  4. I am the oldest of four siblings.
They have always said I am bossy and nosey, although I feel as if I am helpful and inquisitive :) We are very close and they are my best friends. My life is better because of them, especially since they have given me nine of the best nieces and nephews ever!

  5. I am a girl mom.
I have two brilliant and beautiful daughters who make my life more fun and meaningful every single day. My oldest daughter is a teacher and is married to her favorite person (he’s also one of mine) and my younger daughter is in her early 20s and is thriving and figuring out adulthood.

I would love to get to know you and recognize your strengths, sense of resilience, and innate self-worth. We all deserve to feel safe, heard, and seen. I do my best to create a space where that can be true for every client I have the privilege of working with.
